Business Discussion from Former Pupil

Posted on: 09/12/2025

On Tuesday 09th December 2025 Sanyu Santosh, a former pupil, came back to Mayfield to engage in a discussion about business with current Sixth Form students.

"Returning to speak to the students was personal for me, as I once sat in those same classrooms with ambition but very little clarity on what was truly possible."

The purpose of the session was to give students a real-world perspective past their formative years in education, covering financial literacy,  entrepreneurship, resilience, leadership, and the long-term mindset required to succeed in today’s economy. One of Sanyu's driving points was to demonstrate that success is not reserved for a select few, but built through standards, consistency, and the courage to think differently.

More than anything, the talk was about showing students that their background does not limit their future and that with the right environment, information, and self-belief, they can create outcomes far beyond what they may currently imagine, and that extraordinary outcomes are built through ordinary daily actions, executed consistently at a high level.

Since leaving school, Sanyu has gone on to build and scale his own business in property, working closely with high-level investors, developers, and business owners across the UK.

Along his journey, Sanyu has been fortunate to connect with and learn directly from some of the most influential figures in global business, including Steven Bartlett, Sara Davies, Grant Cardone, and Rory Sutherland.
