The Scholarship Programme - Brilliant Club
Posted on: 11/07/2025Over the last term, 14 of our Year 9 Pupil Premium students have engaged in the Brilliant Club Scholars Programme, which aims to raise aspirations by exposing participants to university style seminars with PhD students and University lecturers, followed by completing a written assignment exploring the following question: 'Are children important? Is the experience of childhood a universal one?'
I am thrilled to announce that all students successfully completed and passed their final assignment of 2,000 words, with 65% of them gaining a 2.1 or 1st. Inayah and Hafsa in particular were identified by the course leader who said that their work was "outstanding and I would have not been surprised if that had been written by one of my first-year undergrads."
In addition to this, we were the only school out of the seven that the course leader worked with this term, where more than one student was awarded a 1st!
Please see below, images of the students attending their graduation ceremony at Goldsmiths University last week to celebrate their achievements. A huge congratulations to them all for their efforts and achievements!
