Creative Writing Competition “My voice, my words” – Poetry and Rap Challenge

As part of our LitFest here at Mayfield school Library, we launched a Creative Writing Competition: “My words, my voice – Poetry and Rap challenge”.

Our young poets responded to the challenge with creativity, ingenuity and an insightful vision of the world, the time we live in and themselves. It was an absolute delight to read all poems submitted, and a huge task to judge all entries, given the quality of the works presented.

It is, therefore, a pleasure to announce the overall winner of the Competition, Hayan K., 7M5, who has entered the challenge with “A rap with a positive, rhythmic and intelligent feel, spirit and message” – according to one of the members of the judging panel.
