A 'Big Congratulations' is in order for the Year 7 and Year 8 Ladies Football Team, who won Gold medal position in the U13's Football Tournament recently at Frenford.

This was a 5-month tournament playing against Redbridge secondary schools including Chadwell Heath, Seven Kings, Wanstead, Trinity, Ursuline, Forest, Isaac Newton, and Woodbridge.

The team demonstrated all Mayfield's values of integrity, courage and contribution throughout the 5-month tournament; during the cold winter months and never gave up on their dream to improve on last year's Silver Medal. Each learner demonstrated dedication, resilience, and great sportsmanship throughout, supporting each other as a team and on their own individual successes.

The girls played 19 games and scored 35 times to lead them to victory and be crowned 1st place winners!

Our top goal scorer is awarded to Aroosh  (8M2) who scored at least 20 of our 35 goals. Hat-tricks were made by both Iqra (8M5) and Aroosh during the tournament.
