On Monday 24^th November 2025, Mr Wheeler took three GCSE badminton players to the Redbridge Badminton Championships, where Kabeer, Fynn and Jay showcased their badminton skills against the best in the borough.

The boys won two games against Chadwell but narrowly missed out on a spot in the final. They should be very proud of their achievements and their contribution to Mayfield.

On Monday 1^st December 2025, Mr Wheeler took four KS3 boys  to the Redbridge Badminton Championships, where Dragos, Ayan, Aydin and Tahrib showcased their badminton skills against the best in the borough.

The boys won six games in total, beating Ilford County and Woodbridge 3-2 in both fixtures to come runners up in their group! This is the best finish that Mayfield have had in some years so the boys should be really proud of this!

Well done once more and they will receive their runners-up medals at sports dinner in the summer!
